Hello,

I am Chiamaka, your friendly and adaptable online ESL tutor from Nigeria with over six years of experience and more than 2,000 lessons delivered. My greatest fulfilment comes from enabling young learners and professionals to build their language skills and confidence, and celebrating their achievements.
I’m deeply committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel free, confident, motivated, and heard.

I hold a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Public and International Affairs. With more than twelve years of professional experience in banking and advertising, I bring valuable business and academic insights to my lessons. 

Teaching lets me share my knowledge, learn from my students, and help them turn challenges into opportunities. 


My teaching techniques

My teaching style is all about bringing language to life! I believe in making learning personal, practical, and fun. Through real-life conversations, debates, and interactive activities, I help students build confidence and fluency in a friendly setting.

Whether we're preparing for interviews, presentations, meetings, exploring topics through role-plays, storytelling, playing language games, or diving into thought-provoking discussions, my goal is to make every lesson feel natural and engaging.

I also provide gentle, targeted feedback, and you’ll receive additional practical tips in each lesson to support growth and make learning both fun and effective.


My interests and hobbies

I enjoy engaging in a variety of activities that combine creativity, physical fitness, and community service, including dancing, basketball, tennis, cooking, and singing. I’m also passionate about volunteering, charity work, mentoring, trivia, music, billiards, shopping, and exploring new places through driving.

These diverse interests enable me to relate to students from different backgrounds, create a welcoming learning environment, and foster creativity, teamwork, and personal growth.
