Nice to meet you.
My name is Mun Hong-joo, and I am from Busan, South Korea.
I became fascinated with Japanese manga when I was in middle school, which naturally sparked my interest in the Japanese language.
During my university years, I studied abroad in Tokyo for two years, deepening my understanding of Japanese language and culture.
After returning to South Korea, I obtained a certification as a Japanese interpreter and have worked in this field for six years at various Korean companies and public institutions.
Through these experiences, I have acquired a rich Korean language proficiency that can be used in various situations.
I consider this to be one of my greatest strengths as a Korean language tutor.
Currently, I am enrolled in a doctoral program at Pusan National University, where I am researching Japanese classical literature, particularly waka (traditional Japanese) poetry.
For the past two years, while attending graduate school, I have been teaching Japanese to Korean students.
From now on, I would like to utilize my experiences to work as a Korean language tutor on Cafetalk.
I plan to provide customized one-on-one lessons tailored to each student’s level and goals, from beginner to advanced levels.
Having struggled with unfamiliar characters and expressions while learning Japanese myself, I deeply understand the challenges of language learning.
However, I firmly believe that with consistent effort and perseverance, anyone can improve their language skills.
I will do my best to support my students so that they will be able to speak Korean with confidence while carefully understanding and attending to each individual student’s needs.
I look forward to learning with you.
