I'm a native British teacher living in County Durham, England. I lived in Japan and taught at an English conversation school in Saitama prefecture for over 4 years. My teaching style is kind and friendly. It's okay to make mistakes!
Because I taught in Japan, I use a point-based approach to target common problems for Japanese students such as katakana pronunciation and wasei-eigo. For example, did you know that "cunning" does NOT mean the same as "cheating" in English?
My lessons are taught in English, but I also study Japanese and can use a little Japanese to support beginners. So even if it's your first time taking a lesson with a native speaker, don't worry. I look forward to meeting you!
