Hello. My name is Helen and i am a TEFL certified English teacher with a BA degree in English. I teach all ages and levels and have particular experience in Business English.
I worked for 20 years in international marketing, preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating and copywriting and proof-reading. For 10 years i was based in Greece, mentoring non-native speakers.
Having lived abroad and learnt another language myself, i understand the challenges that you may face learning and developing your English.
Why do i teach English?
I teach because i am passionate about helping Students reach their full potential and achieve their goals. I love interacting with different people. I find it very rewarding to see the satisfaction and delight from my Students as they develop their skills.
I am mature and professional yet energetic and passionate about my teaching. My lessons are professional but they are also fun. I believe that to learn you must have enjoyment. I make sure my lessons are relevant to my Students and that i teach what they want to learn. My Students should expect to do most of the talking - Student talking time is very important in order to learn and to improve.
In my spare time i go running and ihorse-riding. I also teach horse-riding to children. I love cooking and i like trying new recipes from different countries. Maybe i can try your favourite?
I love travelling and have been very fortunate to visit many countries and experience different cultures. I have visited Japan, so far only Tokyo which was an amazing experience. I have travelled in Hong Kong and Thailand and have visited many European countries.
