Nice to meet you! My name is Mai.
About My Lessons
In my lessons, we will focus on developing your speaking skills through real conversations.
With plenty of practice, you will become more comfortable expressing your thoughts smoothly in Japanese!
I create a friendly, welcoming, and supportive environment where you can learn with confidence.
My lessons are all about you!
I will guide you so that you can enjoy learning and speak naturally in Japanese.

My lessons are intended for learners who are 17 years old or older.

About Me
I am a certified Japanese teacher who has passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test.
I have taught Japanese as a trainee at a university abroad and also worked as a volunteer teacher for high school exchange students and adult learners in Japan.
I studied Japanese language pedagogy as a second language at university and applied linguistics in graduate school.
In recent years, I have been especially interested in helping learners improve their speaking skills. I continue to learn and grow as a teacher by attending study sessions both in Japan and abroad.
I speak standard Japanese.
My Hobbies
I love cooking, especially trying out international recipes!
I also enjoy learning foreign languages. Right now, I’m studying Dutch. The pronunciation and word order are quite challenging, but it's really interesting!
I dream of becoming fluent one day and work hard toward that goal.
