talpong Perfil del(de la) tutor/a

Nice to meet you~ My name is Talpong!
Thi isn’t my real name, but my second name that I have been using since junior high school.
My Japanese friends often call me Talpong-pong~

My Background in the Japanese Language
I majored in Japanese in college because I was interested in Japanese manga and video games. I then completed graduate school in the Japanese Language Program to develop my expertise in the language. Since graduating from graduate school, I have continued to do language exchange with my Japanese friends, which helped me improve my senses in Japanese and becoming more comfortable talking with native speakers.
Prior to becoming a Cafetalk tutor, I had taught Korean to a variety of Japanese people through free lectures, and I became confident that the feedback I received there would be of great help to my future students!

Why did I become a tutor?
I found out how difficult it is to speak Korean when I was doing language exchanges with my Japanese friends. While assisting them for several years, I realized that my knowledge could help them even more, and I wanted to help others who were studying Korean as well!
By chance, I was introduced to Cafetalk by another Korean language tutors, and thanks to them, I received the chance to become a tutor~

Teaching Style
In my lessons, we will discuss with each other rather than in one direction, and I will make sure the student knows what they need to work on before proceeding with their studies.
  • Free-talking (Basic): I will prepare a topic and we will learn about common words and phrases that native Koreans use in their daily lives, but students are welcome to talk about any topic they are interested in! No matter what your Korean level is, please feel free to take this lesson.
  • Casual Free-talking (with slang): In this lesson, we will talk in casual Korean, as if we were friends chatting. If you want to practice casual Korean, this is the lesson for you!
  • Studying with learning materials: I will provide you with materials that I have carefully ed, but if you have your own materials, we can use them after discussing with each other.
  • Practice reading scripts: Students will be asked to choose a script, such as from a drama or movie, and read it together to practice accurate pronunciation. I will typically let the student choose their preferred script to work on, but if they have difficulty choosing one, I will be happy to prepare one for them.

I am a people person, and I enjoy talking to people from various fields and backgrounds. So I am looking forward to meeting all of you and chatting with you while sharing my knowledge! I would like to create a fun and exciting lesson together~
