Hello everyone!
I'm Emiemi.T, an online tutor currently living in the Netherlands!
I used to live in Japan & Melbourne, Australia.
I worked as a Japanese teacher at an international school (0-6 years old) for 4 years.
I have been working at a kindergarten and a certified children's school for 8 years, and have enjoyed spending time with children.
(Certified as a nursery school teacher, kindergarten teacher, English proficiency level 2, and senior secretary)
My twin daughters are currently enrolled at Osaka University.
(They were both admitted to the same department through the AO entrance exam. They are studying psychology and child development)
(One is studying in Finland at a partner school and the other one is studying online at a university in the Netherlands)
★ About the lesson ★
It's hard for elementary and junior high school students to get motivated to study for tests by themselves, so their parents make them study by standing by their side all the time.
If that's the case, let's connect online and they can study together with me!
Let the magic of my words motivate them!
For toddlers I will organize the lessons according to their concentration level.
(For more information about my current life, please refer to the second half of the description...)
I want you to help them study before tests.
I want you to consult with me about raising my child★
I want to raise my child to have an interest in foreign countries.
I want you to play with them while I'm busy with housework and work, even if it's just for 20 minutes.
I want you to draw, sing songs, play instruments, take quizzes, or read books with them. & so on.
I can plan the lessons based on the child’s families’ wishes and request in order to make them more enjoyable.
Of course, parents and children are welcome to take the lessons together. You may spend half of the time with me, and the other half of the time for your child to study with me. You can even take two lessons in a row!
Lessons for small children... For example, something like this...
"What's that song?"
"It's a song about this story."
"Let's sing it together!"
"How do you play this part?"
"You have to put your fingers up a little more."
"Let's take a look at this Dutch picture book together today!"
"The sounds of animals in this book are different from those in Japan."
"They make different sounds depending on where they live."
"Let's look at some other things together⤴"
I talk to the children in this manner as if we were actually meeting, and try to encourage them to learn and become interested in various things.
I received the following feedback from the families I worked with:
"I was able to talk about things that I couldn't talk about with the teachers in kindergarten, elementary school and junior high school.”
"I was able to talk with the tutor about my thoughts, such as what I was worried about by comparing myself to the others around me.”
"She helped me think about what awaits further ahead in rising my child, rather than worrying about what I'm doing at the present!”
● Japanese language teacher at an international school
● Experience working at an accredited children's school and kindergarten
● Raised twins
● Experience of living abroad
I would like to make use of my experience to make the lessons with you a wonderful time.
The same lesson can become "fun" and "interesting" by choosing the right words.
You can experience this in our lessons.
In the case of elementary and junior high school students, we will use Skype chat to record what they've learned by writing and reviewing it later. Please don't hesitate to let me know in advance about what you want them to learn☆
Let's make the most of each encounter and learn as much as possible.
I'm currently learning Dutch myself. Also I am learning more and more about European education, life in the Netherlands, Dutch childcare, and the English childcare environment.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
