Hi! I’m Teya from Barbados!

Learning English is about more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar. It’s about developing the confidence to express yourself, communicate naturally, and feel comfortable using English in everyday life.

As an English teacher, I believe a great learning experience begins with patience, encouragement, and an understanding of each student’s individual needs. Every student learns differently, and everyone deserves the opportunity to learn at their own pace, ask questions, make mistakes, and grow without fear of embarrassment.

My lessons focus on practical English that you can use in real life. Through engaging conversations, useful vocabulary, and everyday topics, you’ll have opportunities to practise expressing yourself, improve your fluency, and become more confident communicating in English.

Whether you’re a beginner looking to build a strong foundation or a learner who wants to speak more naturally, our lessons will be tailored to your level, interests, and goals. The aim is to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, and relevant to your everyday life.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy puzzles, staying active, horror movies, and music. I also played the saxophone in an orchestra for six years!
