Hi! I’m Teya from Barbados!
I’m a native English speaker and an English teacher with a degree in Education, a CELTA qualification, and four years of experience teaching English online.
I believe learning English should feel comfortable, practical, and enjoyable. My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes without feeling embarrassed. I adapt my lessons to each student’s level, interests, and goals, whether you want to improve your conversation skills, vocabulary, reading, or simply feel more confident speaking English.
I don’t believe English learning has to be all about textbooks and grammar. I like using real conversations and everyday topics to help students use English naturally.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy puzzles, staying active, horror movies, and music. I also played the saxophone in an orchestra for six years!
