Hi, I’m Kim, your friendly Canadian English teacher.
I live in Ontario, Canada now but I grew up in a different part of the country, the province of Nova Scotia, by the Atlantic Ocean.
I’ve travelled across Canada in planes, trains, and automobiles. I’ve also lived on the Canadian prairies and in the Canadian north.
I love food, music, reading, sewing, plants, animals, and spending time with family and friends.
I am TESL certified (300 hours with all A grades) and I have a Bachelor degree in Sociology and a Master degree in Library and Information Studies. I foster a positive learning space where you can practice communicating in English: speaking, reading, listening, and writing. We can chat, play games, read together, and I can help you with your writing.
English is my first language, and I’m learning French and Spanish. As a learner myself, I know making mistakes is part of learning, especially with languages. While language learning can be hard, it can also be fun. I would like to work with you to help you reach your English learning goals. Do you want to have fun practicing your English? Request a lesson with me and let’s talk. I look forward to meeting you.
