Hello there! I'm Thomas. Here's a little bit about me:
TEACHING STYLE
Learning a language means taking risks and feeling a little silly. My teaching style encourages risk-taking and having fun in a non-judgemental atmosphere. It's easier to learn and you'll improve more quickly when you're having fun.
We all learn a little differently, which is why I believe lessons should be personalized to your learning needs. Vocabulary too small? I can help! Shy? I can help! Pronunciation sounding like カタカナ? Whatever English level you are at, we got this!
No matter what your goal is with your language studies, we can make it work! I'm dedicated to you and your studies.

Hello there! I'm Thomas. Here's a little bit about me:
I'm a Canadian currently living in British Columbia with my Japanese partner. I graduated from Concordia University in Montreal in 2016, with a degree in Music and a minor in English Literature. During my studies in Montreal, I learned French and tutored English privately for 3 years. Between 2016 and 2020, I opened and operated a small but successful cafe in Montreal. Because it's always been a dream of mine to continue teaching English on a more significant scale, I sold my business.
Learning a second language is invaluable. I experienced firsthand the utility of a second language during my time in Montreal. By knowing French, I was able to create so many more connections and experience so much more of the culture. It also gave me great opportunities – opening a business being one of them! This is why I want to teach.
