Hello,
My name is John Kathe, and I am an English tutor specializing in intermediate to advanced English conversation. I have received Level 5 TEFL Certification training, with a certification accredited by Qualifi.
Having 9 years of experience studying Japanese as well, I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Modern Languages from Clemson University (as well as another in Performing Arts).
I am an entrepreneur focused on expanding people's life experience through interacting with foreigners and learning a new language. I have been to 34 prefectures in Japan, including spending a semester in Fukui. Learning about Japan through travel and media consumption have helped me grow familiar with the culture, and I love learning new things about Japan.
Conversing with Japanese English students and watching them improve their English skills is my passion! If you want to achieve fluency, I will assist you in your quest. You can count on me!
