Good day! My name is Elsa. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I can speak Tagalog, Cebuano, a language in the Philippines, English, and a bit of Chinese Mandarin. My hobbies include singing, dancing, acting, listening to music and watching movies. I also play badminton and basketball during my leisure time. I love talking to people, especially those who I can learn from. I am very much patient, enthusiastic, friendly and understanding type of person.
I have 2 years of experience in teaching, both on online and offline class. Ever since I was 10, I was exposed to the teaching world, because every summer, my sister and I were the teachers for our chapel's summer classes. Since then, I've always imagined myself teaching kids and also adults because I feel so happy whenever they are learning something from me. In addition, I have a TEFL Certification. My class is a student-based class, so my students' goals are the priority of the class. I teach in all ages and in all levels. I can teach you anything about the Tagalog language. I can teach basic Tagalog, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence construction, and many more. I can also have a Tagalog conversation with you. I use PowerPoint presentation, PDF files, flashcards, image files, and video files during my lessons. I also use story books, songs and games for the students that are kids. I also give assignments and quizzes to assess your learnings about the previous lessons. Lesson materials are sent/provided after each class.
What to expect in my class?
- The student will become more comfortable in speaking Tagalog language.
- The student's vocabulary skills will be widened.
- The student will not only learn phrases, but he/she can also construct his/her own sentences.
- The student will become fluent in Tagalog and can speak straightly in Tagalog.
- The student can express his/her ideas that he/she wants to say in Tagalog language freely and in a knowledgeable way.
- The student will learn Tagalog in a fun and engaging way.
