Hello! My name is Erick Estrada.

 

I am a native English speaker from Houston, Texas, currently living in Mexico and enjoying the opportunity to experience new cultures, customs, and traditions. I am a father of five, a licensed barber, a small business owner, and a passionate educator who loves helping people achieve their language goals.

 

I am a CELTA-certified English tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and extensive expertise in online education. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, specializing in helping intermediate and advanced students improve their confidence, fluency, pronunciation, and communication skills.

Extensive Experience Teaching Japanese Students

 

Approximately 20% of my teaching experience has been with Japanese students, giving me extensive firsthand knowledge of the learning styles, goals, and challenges commonly faced by Japanese English learners.

 

Through years of working with Japanese students, I have developed a strong understanding of the areas many learners wish to improve, including speaking confidence, pronunciation, listening comprehension, natural conversation flow, and the ability to think and respond in English more naturally.

 

I understand that many students already possess strong grammar and vocabulary knowledge but may lack confidence when speaking. My lessons are designed to create a supportive environment where students can practice freely, make mistakes confidently, and steadily build natural communication skills.

In addition to teaching, I assist with interpretation, translation, transcription, proofreading, and editing in both English and Spanish.
