MOON Tutor Profile

Hello!
I am a Korean language tutor, MOON.

I majored in Korean and Japanese language at university.
I went to Japan for language study and a working holiday to learn more natural Japanese. In my class at a Japanese language school, I was very surprised to see a Japanese language tutor explain everything in Japanese and students from various countries learning Japanese. At that moment, I wanted to become a Korean language tutor who can teach Korean just like that Japanese tutor.
Therefore, I conduct mu lessons in Korean and explain everything in Korean. You might think that it would be difficult to conduct lessons entirely in Korean to a beginner level student, but I found that this is not the case when I actually experienced it myself.
The most important thing in learning another language is to listen to it a lot.
I can also explain in Japanese, so please let me know if you would prefer to take a lesson in Japanese.

I have worked for a trading company that trades with Japanese companies for 11 years, and I have experience in interpretation and translation in various fields. Through these experiences, I realized that in order to be good at interpretation and translation, it is important to have a solid understanding of not only the language of the country, but also its culture.

Reasons to learn Korean from a native speaker

Pronunciation: It is important to learn the correct pronunciation from the very beggining. Since I am a native speaker, I can teach you accurate pronunciation and correct any mistakes.

Understanding of Korean culture: A tutor who has experience living in South Korea can convey Korean culture more effectively.

Reasons to learn Korean from me

I am Korean: I was born and raised in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and I speak standard Korean. I can teach you the correct Korean pronunciation.

Majored in Japanese: From my own experience of learning another languages, I understand the difficulties that learners might be feeling, and I will support you in learning Korean to make the experience easier.

Majored in Korean: I am a tutor with specialized knowledge.

Experience living abroad: I have lived in Japan and have a good understanding of the cultural differences between countries and how to convey the Korean language to international learners.

My lessons are tailored to your learning level and goals, including business Korean, TOPIK exam preparation, free-talking, K-POP, K-drama, and more.

I will assist you in learning more natural Korean by helping you better understand Korean culture, instead of just teaching the language itself.
