Hello!  My name is Carey Magnusson. I have been mentoring students for fifteen years. I have been a professional chef in Canada for twenty years as well. I am passionate about language, animals, travel, delicious food, music, manga/anime and gaming.  I have a Bachelors Degree Majoring in French Literature as well as a TOEFL Degree.  I would be happy to help you gain confidence in the English or French language while engaging in fun supportive lessons on any number of topics.

I am willing to teach any level of English, and up to High School level French.  Please feel free to talk to me to help build a specified lesson plan according to your desires and needs.

I recently moved to Costa Rica and am learning Spanish.  I believe that having learned French and actively learning Spanish right now help me understand difficulties you may encounter in learning a new language and make me a strong candidate to help you on your language journey.

This is my dog Lucky.  He is just about two years old now. He is a Boxer.  He is very energetic and playful.  He loves going anywhere as long as he is close to me, but especially enjoys going to the beach and the river.
