Hello! I’m Teacher Ian, a TEFL-certified English tutor and passionate educator from South Africa, with nearly 20 years of international teaching experience in South Africa, Malaysia and online. I specialise in English conversation, public speaking, and drama-based learning, helping students express themselves confidently and clearly.

My background includes teaching at leading international schools, directing full-scale productions, and supporting learners from diverse cultural and language backgrounds. I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership and have taught across Cambridge, Edexcel, and international curricula, from beginner to advanced levels.

In 2016, I had the opportunity to visit Japan, and I fell in love with the southern region, especially Fukuoka and Nagasaki. The warmth, culture, and connection I experienced inspired me to continue working with Japanese learners and others from around the world.

My lessons are creative, engaging, and tailored to your goals, whether you’re preparing for an interview, improving daily conversation, or developing stage presence.
