I have been taking lessons with Koyuki Sensei since October 2023, and throughout that time I have been consistently impressed with the quality of her teaching. When I started, I had almost no knowledge of Japanese. Since then, we have worked through the Genki 1 and Genki 2 textbooks together, and we are now about to begin Quartet. What I appreciate most about Koyuki Sensei's teaching style is the balance she strikes between patience, encouragement, and challenge. Her lessons are always enjoyable and engaging, but she also knows how to push me in the right way so that I continue to improve and stay motivated. She is highly adaptable and is always able to tailor her approach to my individual needs as a learner. I genuinely look forward to every lesson and feel motivated to study between sessions, often thinking ahead to what we will cover next. 合わせてボーカルも教えていただいていますが、ピアノのコード感やリスムをボーカルに活かしたり、逆に歌のフレージングや表現力をピアノの演奏に取り入れたりで、一見別物と思える二つのスキルを相互に関連付けながら学べるので、毎回のレッスンがとても実り多いものになっています。ただ弾く、歌うだけでなく、音楽を深く理解しながら自分のペースで成長できる実感があり、とても満足度が高いです。

Great teacher, she explains so well and in great detail as we go through my book and answers well all my questions so I have a deep understanding. I've learnt so many things and I'm really enjoying reading so much. She's so patient with me as I'm reading slowly but I'm so motivated to keep reading!
