  • Part 1: Introduction to Halloween (5 mins)
  • Find out about the traditional British calendar, the Wheel of the Year. We learn about the traditional name for Halloween, 'Samhain', and the meaning of this name
  • Part 2: Spooky Stories (5 mins)
  • Some traditional stories from Samhain. Perhaps you have heard the Halloween pumpkins being called 'Jack o'Lanterns' but do you know who Jack is? Let's find out ....
  • Part 3: Similar Celebrations Around the World (5 mins)
  • Traditionally, this time of year is associated with the world of the living and the world of those who have passed being very close to each other. I discuss different attitudes towards our ancestors from throughout history and around the world.
  • Part 4: Halloween Traditions (5 mins)
  • Different activities which people do to celebrate Samhain, and why. You are welcome to try them at home if you like!
