Hello Everyone!
Have you dreamed of having the perfect accent? Sounding just like a native American or British speaker? If you have, or even if you don't care, check out this article.
The author emphasizes something important: after all of his hard work, he still didn't have a native accent. It seems depressing until we remember what the purpose of language is. Although his accent was still there, he was able to speak clearly and that was well-received. He was complimented on his speaking by native speakers. His accent wasn't important to them; instead, what was important was his clear speaking and that he made his ideas easy to understand.
(For advanced English students: Pay attention to the grammar! Although he has written this article and he is able to get his ideas across, he does make a lot of grammatical mistakes. It's a test for you to see if you can spot them all and correct them!)

So what do you think? Do you still want a perfect accent? (It's okay if you do!) Or would you rather focus on something else like making sure your grammar is easy to understand or improving your vocabulary?
Have a great day!
