I came up with the answer to this question in half a second: moving to Japan at the age of 21 without having been before, without knowing the language and completely on my own was the biggest adventure of my life so far. And it's been 7 years since then!
The first few months were just a whirlwind of newness. Everything was interesting: the food, sightseeing, travel, people, even the supermarkets were an adventure.
After a few months I was starting to settle in, figure out my daily pace, work-life balance etc and just feeling like I was making this place my home was also exciting.
One year rolled into two, then three and then seven. The adventures along the way have been life changing and I will be truly saddened to leave eventually, but the next adventure is just around the corner!
