Hello Everyone! How are you doing this week? Today, I have some practice sentences with the verb 'to be'. Choose the right answer(s) to each question and then check your answers below to see how many you got correct!
Beginner Level:
- She (am/is/are) a doctor.
- We (was/were/be) late for class yesterday.
- They (am/is/are) excited about the trip.
- I (am/is/was) tired after the long walk.
- The cat (is/are/were) sleeping on the couch.
Intermediate Level:
- The students (was/were/are) happy to (be/is/was) finished with their exams.
- He (is/was/were) surprised to (am/be/is) chosen for the team.
- I (am/is/was) glad to (be/was/were) invited to your wedding last month.
- They (is/are/were) eager to (be/am/was) starting their new jobs next week.
- She (was/were/is) disappointed to (is/was/be) unable to attend the concert.
