課程介紹
This course is conducted entirely in English.
The English Language American History Course 5 focuses on the "Roaring 20's" era in the United States. It covers the whole time period, in the following order:
-The aftermath of World War One
-Women's Suffrage
-Immigrant and Minority rights
-Prohibition, bootleggers, and speakeasies
-High Spirits and Grand Achievements
-Black Tuesday and the end of the Roaring 20’s.
Each lesson in this pack will focus on one of these periods, in chronological order (that is, from earliest to latest).
Students will recieve at least one (and occasionally more) pre-lesson reading assignment to give them some insight into the content of the lesson itself. Lesson content will consist mainly of a slide presentation, along with general discussion and questions about the topics/events within the presentation. After the lesson, the student will be expected to either write or record a reflection on the completed lesson of approximately one paragraph in length. The prompt for this reflection will be provided at the end of the lesson by the tutor.
This course is perfect for those looking to increase their knowledge of American history for whatever reasons they may have. It is also useful to those looking to improve their writing, speaking, and general English skills in a non-traditional manner of practice.
Currently, proficiency in English is required for these courses.
