Want to study Japanese but not really sure where to begin? Believe me I know exactly how that feels! That was me ten years ago. Come as you are and work your way up! Starting from zero? Not a problem at all!
A new refreshing approach to Japanese
This class is great for those who are tired of the conventional way of studying Japanese. My course, which references it's materials from the Adventures in Japanese and Genki textbooks incorporates the use of online learning platforms such as canvas, games via Kahoot, and educational videos and audio like no other Japanese class you've seen before.
What results can you expect?
- Start speaking from lesson one!
- Learn how to pronunce all the sounds in Japanese by the first week!
- Learn how to introduce yourself, talk about your family and friends, schedule appointments and talk about the time within the first month.
- Master reading Hiragana and Katakana within two months.
- Learn all the Japanese you need to survive as a tourist in Japan within four months.
- Read and understand real Japanese texts that aren't designed for just foreigners within six months.
- Have over 100 Kanji mastered by the end of the first year.
- Pass the JLPT N2 after complete course 3
No secrets, In the down time when you are not having a lesson with me, I will give you access to my course content on an online learning platform, which will guide you through what you need to know and what order you need to know it in. You will have the opportunity to watch interesting and interactive videos that teach you the correct content at the correct time. Then in our lessons, we will complete activities, games and other interactive challenges that will give you the opportunity to practice and master what you've learned so that you walk out of each lesson becoming more and more fluent in Japanese.
What level is best for me? How will I know that my needs are met?
You're first lesson, which will introduce you to lesson procedures will also contain a simple series of proficiency checks to assess your needs and understanding of Japanese. After completing this assessment, I will determine at which point in which course will be best to begin your lessons.
My lessons mostly target learners in years 1-3 of Japanese. If you have successfully been studying Japanese for over four years, you may want to consider a tutor who focus on teaching more advanced Japanese.
Consistency is the key!
Just as a body without regular exercise looses strength and endurance, your success in learning Japanese largely depends on your ability to stick with the lessons and complete the course.
What benefits does Ring Sakabe Sensei as an individual offer?
As one who has overcome many of the difficulties of studying Japanese, I understand all too well the struggle my students feel as they navigate through Japanese. While it is true that I have had Japanese around me a lot in my life, I also had to study hard, create memory devices and work at it and with confidence can guarantee you that I can help anyone navigate their way through this as a foreign language.
Will I need to buy a text book?
I recommend that individuals purchase the texts that are referenced in my lessons so they can take notes in it, mark relevant information and use it outside of the lessons. However, several of my students have been just fine without purchasing it. Hence, it is not absolutely necesarry.
