What is the difference between a `free-conversation` and a `guided conversation`?
A free-conversation is real. It`s the style of communication we use every day, in the real world. Every conversation you have with your family, friends, or work-colleagues is a free conversation. There are no guidelines, no instructions.
A guided conversation is something teachers use to help students practice fluency. It feels like a free conversation, but there is usually a set topic and a learning goal. This might be using a particular grammar structure, or trying out some new vocabulary. The teacher helps the student to speak fluently for a controlled amount of time, asking questions, responding and leading the way.
There`s lots of topics to choose from, but I find that students most enjoy talking about culture, travel experiences, daily news and so on. During and after the conversation I can give you corrections and feedback, so you know your strengths and areas to practice some more.

All students will be asked at the beginning of the lesson if they would like me to record the lesson and send it to them at no extra cost. If you prefer not to, the lesson will not be recorded.
