- Please allow me to introduce myself first
Hello everyone. My name is 李洛同 (Li Rakdou). I have been told that my name is difficult to pronounce, so please feel free to call me by my English name, Celina.
My hometown is Liaoning Province, China. The people are kind, the food is delicious, and you can enjoy the beautiful seasonal sceneries, so if you have the chance, please come and visit us.
I am currently studying psychology at an American university, but before that I studied abroad in Japan for four years, so I can’t say I speak Japanese as well as native speakers, but I am more fluent in Japanese than in English.
I enjoy playing the violin and drawing pictures. My greatest passion is anime. Since watching anime was not enough for me, and I wanted to participate in the production of anime as a voice actor, I attended a vocational school for voice actors after graduating from high school. I think it was a very important experience for me because I worked hard together with friends who had the same goal, my confidence increased, and my Japanese language skills improved.
- About the Chinese Language
When I was in elementary school, I attended an emcee training class, and my teachers would often tell me that I “speak perfect Mandarin.” I often emceed at school assemblies and class parties, so I am quite confident in my Chinese pronunciation and usage.
- My Career as a Chinese Language Teacher
My friends at a vocational school were very interested in Chinese, so I became a Chinese teacher for them. This led me to teach Chinese at an online school in Japan.
During that one year and ten months as a Chinese teacher, I learned a lot from my students, such as their perspectives and life experiences, and I have always felt that I learned more important things than just knowledge while teaching Chinese. This is why I wanted to teach Chinese again.
Nevertheless, I know that I am still inexperienced as a teacher. As a matter of fact, I still haven’t found my own unique style of teaching. However, I do have a sense of responsibility as a teacher. For example, if there is a problem that cannot be solved during the lesson, I organize the material after the lesson and send the students a well-organized document or explain it to them so that they will not be left with any remaining problems.
- Future Goals
Chinese pronunciation, grammar and conversation, from basic to advanced. I will work with you to find the right approach for you according to your language level. It is my goal to help you understand and grasp the meaning of the Chinese language with ease.
Studying Chinese is certainly difficult, but if we work hard together, I ma sure we can overcome the difficulties! I look forward to working with you.
