Hello! My name's Aivars, I'm from a small, beautiful country in northeastern Europe called Latvia, which is where I currently live. I'm a TEFL-certified English teacher with near-native proficiency and offer different types of lessons in general and business English, from B1 to C1.

By the time I started high school, I had already picked up three languages, thanks to the foresight and encouragement of my parents. They themselves don't speak English, but they knew it would be useful to me in the future, and they were absolutely right. Because of this, I've studied and worked abroad for over 5 years, using English every single day, and I still read almost exclusively in English. Overall, I've been using English for over 20 years.

I couldn't live without it, which brings me to my career as an English teacher. I believe everyone is able to learn English and I know first-hand that it opens up a whole world of possibilities that can enrich your life in countless ways. My preferred teaching style is student-centered, which means I approach learning as a process that doesn't have to be as rigid and dry as traditional classroom lectures. Instead, it can be a flexible, stimulating, two-way process that's relevant to each person's individual needs. That said, I do use textbooks like New English File and Business Result if the student requests it, as well as other materials to make it more interesting.
