Hello!
Welcome to my CafeTalk profile, and thank you for your interest.
My name is Alesha and I would enjoy helping you practice and improve your English!
Introduction
I am from the United States. I have lived in Hawaii and Virginia near Washington DC. I have an N3 from the JLPT. I can understand and read Japanese better than I can speak it. I am working on this and to sit for the N2 in the near future. If you have limited to no English, we will still be able to communicate.
I went to George Mason University in Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in History with a double minor in Asian Pacific History and Japanese.
I have received a Master of Science in Herbal Medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences. For the past 12 years, I've worked at the Central Rappahannock Public Library helping adults, teens, and children further their knowledge and encourage a passion for lifelong learning. In this close community, I formed a close bond with both the patrons and fellow employees. I provided them access information in a variety of electronic and print formats. I believe that learning should be fun and interesting.
Teaching Style
I teach in a casual manner and focus on helping my students feel confident communicating. My lesson plans are casual and easy to understand. I am fun-loving and patient but focused on my work. All levels are welcome from beginners to advance speakers.
I am flexible and will accommodate the type of structured instruction you prefer or just converse freely if you like.
