I specialize in teaching “natural-sounding Japanese,” brushing up on conversation and discussion skills,” along while “having enjoyable conversations.”
I believe it is important to use Japanese phrases that are pleasant to communicate with others and that help develop positive relationships with others.

Have you ever thought that the Japanese you learned in your textbooks were kind of strange?
Have you ever received a strange look from someone even though you were grammatically correct?
Japanese used in textbooks are designed to be easy to learn, and to help you learn correct grammar.
While this is very important, real-life Japanese is quite informal.
Real-life Japanese is spoken in a rather broken manner. Incorrect grammar is used as well.
If you want to "enhance your conversation skills with Japanese people using natural Japanese," or
"Have questions or dissatisfactions in conversations with Japanese speakers,"
I would like to help you.
** About my lessons **
I value "offering an enjoyable lesson."
When you are enjoying it, you are likely to concentrate on the lesson and time will fly by. It will also make it easier to remember and will help motivate you to learn more.
I always try my best to make my lessons enjoyable for my students.
I do my best to create a lesson environment where students feel comfortable talking in Japanese.
Have you ever wanted to ask a question but couldn’t find the right moment to do so?
Have you wondered if you can ask a certain question?
Have you felt at a lost?
...If you have to think like this during your lesson, you will not be able to concentrate on learning.
This is why I do my best to create an environment where it is easy to talk, and to ask any questions at any moment.
** About myself **
・I graduated from the Department of Japanese Literature, Faculty of Literature.
・I passed the Japanese Language Teaching Proficiency Test in October 2021.
・I have experienced a wide range of jobs that interest me, such as working at a sales desk for a local broadcasting station, clerical and accounting work at a general company and music hall, as well as sales work at a traditional Japanese confectionery store.
・I also studied have experience practicing tea ceremony, ikebana (flower arrangement), and kimono dressing. After entering the workforce, I also learned Western-style flower arrangement and realized the difference between Japanese and Western flower arranging.
** My favorites & interests **
・I love animals. I especially love cats. I currently have two boy cats in my family.
・I enjoy writing “columns.” I only noticed this after I started working as a tutor here on Cafetalk.
・I love Mount Fuji. I live in a town where I can see the mountain. I see it almost every day and never get tired of the view.
I would like to talk with people who are interested in Mount Fuji.

I would like to enjoy my lesson with many students, of various nationalities, of all genders, and of diverse beliefs and religions.
I always strive and hope that we can appreciate each other’s differences, empathize with each other where we can, cherish harmony, and as human beings, have a broad perspective, flexible thinking, and a mind that can be sensitive and attentive.
