Nice to meet you. My name is Yukiko Kitazume, and I am a clarinet instructor. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, would you like to join me and enjoy the warm and harmonious sound of the clarinet together?
I'm based in my home town of Kanagawa Prefecture, where I give lessons at my own music school while performing♪ I also teach middle and high school brass bands and junior jazz bands, play in ensemble groups, plan and manage orchestras... I'm active in many ways!
My instructor's specialty was classical music, but I usually play light tunes such as pop and jazz. I'm ready for some groovy and exciting songs! (￣▽￣)

Since it is a private lesson, you can take a lesson with materials and contents that suit you individually. My lessons' motto is "enjoying while progressing"!
I want to introduce the thing making me the happiest, which is the charm of the clarinet. I would like to help you enjoy music through the clarinet, regardless of the genre - classical, pop or jazz!♪
Actually the reason I decided to start giving online lessons is because of COVID-19 and how it is affecting the world. It's not safe to go out now, and many of the students who were attending my class had to cancel their lessons. However, I wanted to give my lessons in a safe way somehow, so I decided to give online lessons on Cafetalk! I hope this will be a new gateway for those who find it difficult to attend lessons at home!

I also offer a 30-minute trial lesson for the first time, so please try it out first!

Born in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
Studied clarinet under Hitoshi Hoshino, Tadayoshi Takeda and Yasuko Yamazaki. Studied jazz clarinet under Eiji Taniguchi.
Also learnt chamber music with Hitoshi Hoshino and Japanese music with Kenji Yamaguchi.
Won an encouragement prize in the 23rd All Japan Junior Music Competition for Woodwind instruments.
While still a student, I have been instructing junior high school brass bands in Yokosuka City.
I also give concerts for comfort at facilities and solo and chamber music lives.
In 2012, I formed the chamber trio "Ensemble SIGNAL" with flute, clarinet and piano. We performed at various venues.
In 2015, I participated in a month-long ASEAN and Japan tour as a member of the "Asian Youth Jazz Orchestra", a multinational jazz orchestra made up of ed young musicians from Japan and South East Asian countries.
In addition to my own performance activities, I am currently working on recordings, teaching bands and extras, as well as mentoring younger musicians.
