Hello!
- Personal presentation: My name is Stephan. I am originally from the city of Freiburg (black forest). I live now in Germany near Saarbrücken. I have lived in Slovakia for 3 years.
- Professional presentation and qualifications: I aquired a Master's degree in teaching from the Pedagogical University of Freiburg and I have a professional teaching certificate in teaching German as a foreign language from the Goethe-Institute München. I have been giving German courses in Luxembourg for companies in the fields of industry, logistics and banking and for the European Institutions ( European Parlement, European Commission and European Investment Bank ) from beginners until advanced students since 2006.
- Lessons: A good atmosphere is the key factor for successfully learning a language. In the very beginning I will hear your wishes and then we can talk together about the procedure of the lessons and the goals depending on the language level. After the first lesson I would like to sent you a language test for checking your language level. During the lesson I would like to give you important and essential information for correcting yourself and very imporant the necessary time for asking your questions. In the end of every lesson I will give you a short resumee of your learning progress by sending you an email and constructive information like useful internet websites, information regarding learning stratregies for improving your language skills in speaking, hearing, listening and writing and suitable German books. I am also using authentic language materials like videos, learning games or actual texts about travelling, economy or cultural events.
- Teaching experience and topics: I have teaching experience in logistics, industry and banking (writing professional emails, on the phone and small talk with clients). I could prepare you for special German tests from the Goethe-Institut, universities or job interviews in German companies.
- Hobbys: I am interested in playing and teaching chess. I am playing in a chess club and a German chess league. I gave chess lessons for beginners and intermediate students, especially adults. I like the tactical chess games from Garry Kasparow. I like hiking in the nature (mountains). Intercultural topics regarding regions like Asia are also a favorite hobby of me.
