Hi my name is Tsakane "TP" Makhetha and I have a passion for teaching English.  My particular areas of expertise are Business English, Legal English, Conversational English, teaching Grammar, Vocabulary Expansion and phrases commonly used in specific setting such as sports and leisure.  I started loving teaching English when I realised that I was very fluent and well spoken and in my every day life was coaching and correcting my friends and family on the correct way to speak and spell.

I have 4 years experience teaching English online and this this time have gained a lot of knowlegde and skills relating to teaching.  I have a honours bachelor degree in Marketing and an accredited TEFL certificate and acquiring these was a stepping stone to harnessing my love for English and becoming qualified to teach it.  My marketing experience has led to me being in many situations where I have had to think on my feet and solve a problem without much time given.  The teaching space is similar in that you have to adapt to the specific needs of a student and be relevant to THEIR needs.
I have a very engaging teaching style and this is because I feel the student should be the focus, not me.  I quickly notice errors and ensure that the student surpasses even their expectations of themselves.  This gives me great pleasure as this is a differentiating factor when considering a tutor.  I love incorporating humour and current events in the lessons so as to make them feel seamless and most of all useable in an everyday setting.  I am very open to the fact that the lesson might not go exactly as I had planned but that is an advantage because it means I can meet each student at their particular need.  My lessons can be taken right away as i will be able to gauge exactly what the student needs and skill level is at the beginning of the lesson and thus tailor the rest of the lesson to suit them.

I encourage you to take a lesson with me and get to the next level in your path of learning English.  From my lessons you will take out confidence, better vocabulary, better grammar, an fresh outlook on speaking English and most importantly, the ability to tackle the language with enthusiasm.
