Nice to meet you. I’m Kayo, a piano tutor.
I am currently offering lessons from a beautiful island in the Seto Inland Sea.
I give lessons mainly to adults (over 15 years old). I can also offer English lessons as well.
 
I have been studying in the US after graduating from music college in Japan because I wanted to play jazz.
I moved from Boston to Los Angeles and have been working in the US as a pianist and music teacher for over 10 years. Since then, I have also lived in Tunisia and Jamaica as a music teacher, and have been familiar with many musical cultures other than classical music.
 
I studied jazz at Berklee College of Music in the US, and in 2020, I received a master’s degree in world music culture from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London. I would love to share with you my experience of experiencing and familiarizing myself with diverse musical cultures and performing with musicians from all over the world.
