Gabriella Puteri Miranda was born in Jakarta, Indonesia.
She started taking classical piano lesson at the age of 10.
During her high school years, Gabriella also became interested in pop music and started playing in a band. She actively participated in various music festivals and competitions at her high school and church both as a pianist and singer.
She continued her formal music education at the University of Pelita Harapan, majoring in Contemporary Piano Performance.
Gabriella hungrily continued her music education beyond her college program, taking lessons from some of the giants in the field, such as Indra Lesmana (Indonesia) and Kris Goessens (Holland).
At the same time, she has participated competitively in events such as Jazz Goes To Campus (JGTC) Competition in 2009 and a Road to Java Jazz Festival (JJF) in 2010 at both of which she won the first place as the best keyboardist/pianist.
Gabriella has, and continues to be a versatile artist; she actively plays with her award-winning (Best Newcomer Artist at The 36th Jazz Goes To Campus Choice Awards) Hemiola Quartet, Untitled Band & Aquila Band while continuing her professional relationship with the well known musicians in town.
She also maintains her presence in the jazz community; she has recently participated in events such as Indonesian Jazz Festival and ASEAN Jazz Festival to name but a few.
