Acky 講師的自我介紹

Hi, I am Acky（秋）from Melbourne, Australia.
I have lived in Melbourne since 2001, and also have spent time living in London, UK and Toronto, Canada.

I was originally borned in Malaysia, and is multilingual since I was young. I grew up speaking both English and Chinese Mandarin, and have learnt Japanese since 2009.

I have been working in Finance for more than 10 years but my passion in languages continues. During my free time, I love learning new languages, reading, playing the piano and continue to improve my language skills.

I also love travelling. The most exotic and memorable place I have ever been to is Mongolia, and I love travelling in the plains, in a world of no mobile phones or computers. It was so blissful.

I believe the only way to get better at anything is to practise, practise, practise. I can help you get better at English or Chinese Mandarin, at your own pace, in the topics you wish to cover.

As I have learnt Japanese from scratch, I understand the difficulties of learning languages. This is why I love CafeTalk because I can use this as a platform to learn more new languages and help others who wants to learn English and Chinese too.

2017年よりずっとAcky先生のレッスンを受けています。最初は30分でも長いなーと感じて、レッスン後は毎回疲れていたのですが、少しずつ会話ができるようになり、今では1時間のレッスンもあっという間に終わる感じです。そして、一番ためになっているのは、毎回送っていただけるレッスン中の会話のレジメです。スピーキングの間違いなども修正していただいていて、後で読み返すと「なるほどー！」とうなずきがあります。今後もよろしくお願いします！

Acky先生のレッスンを受け始めて、4年目になります。最初は仕事で必要となり仕方なく始めた英会話ですが、毎回楽しいレッスンと、レッスンの丁寧なレジメを送ってくださるので、モチベーションアップになっています。先生のレッスンを受けていると、改めて英語と日本語の違いに気づかされ、それぞれの国の文化や歴史、考え方等の違いに驚かされます。学生時代は英語が大嫌いでしたが、今はずっと続けていきたいと思っています。これからもよろしくお願いします。

Since the first day, I started a lesson with Acky Laoshi way back in 2017, my interest in learning Chinese has always been enthusiastic. I am now moving to China for my new job and my learning experience with her Chinese lessons are by far the most practical and meaningful ones for me. She inspires me a lot in class that I've never once felt giving up although learning Mandarin is really difficult. Her review materials and the audio files are well organized and it's way convenient for me to compile them and revise them whenever I get some time. Hi again Acky! I just want to express my gratefulness again to you and I think that this is the best time that other students would get to know a lovely tutor like you. Learning with you for a few months still keeping up my interest in Chinese. Instead of complaining that Chinese is quite hard to learn, you make me feel how much fun it is when I get to start speaking it myself. Although, I have quite a lot of Chinese friends Acky is still incomparable when it comes to patience and flexibility in teaching. Moreover, your review materials and follow up messages encourages me a lot. I'm still doing the revisions from those very organized review materials (pdf files and voice recordings), though. I couldn't be thankful enough since the first day I met this teacher. I've been learning Chinese for a few months now with her and I could say that I really learned a lot. What makes me love her classes every time is its fun atmosphere! At the end of the class, she'll make sure that you'll be able to speak as much as you can and be more independent in making your own sentences. Not only that, her review materials have been very useful and pretty organized! Plus, she's very observant and she could easily and creatively help you to deal with your learning struggles.
