Nice to meet you! My name is Long, and I am a Vietnamese and Japanese language tutor.

Profile

I was born and raised in Japan, and both of my parents are Japanese. I majored in Vietnamese language for four years at a Japanese university, and then studied abroad for one year at Hanoi University in Vietnam. Including self-study, I have been learning Vietnamese for approximately seven years.

After graduating, I worked for one year as an in-house Japanese language teacher at a Vietnamese company. After that, I worked at a Vietnamese IT company as an interpreter and bridge engineer, supporting communication between Japanese clients and Vietnamese engineers. All of my colleagues were Vietnamese, which allowed me to gain extensive experience working in a Vietnamese professional environment.

Vietnamese Language Proficiency

I hold a C1 (advanced level) certification in the International Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test. I use Vietnamese on a daily basis and have experienced very few difficulties communicating in Vietnamese, not only in everyday life but also in professional work settings.

As I am Japanese, you can feel completely comfortable communicating in Japanese during lessons. Even if you feel nervous about speaking directly with a native Vietnamese speaker, you can take my lessons with confidence and ease.

In addition, based on my experience teaching Japanese in Vietnam, I am able to explain difficult points clearly in Vietnamese when needed. For Japanese learners, I can also provide explanations in English if something is difficult to understand in Japanese, as I speak English at a conversational level.

Furthermore, I strive to explain Vietnamese from a Japanese learner’s perspective, focusing on points that Japanese speakers often find confusing or difficult.
