Hello!
My name is Katie. I'm a native English speaker and a qualified ESL teacher. I spent the last year living in Japan while teaching English to students of all ages and abilities, ranging from kindergarten children to global company employees to the JR staff!
Here on Cafetalk, I offer classes best suited to intermediate learners and above, ranging from relaxed and free talking, text-only conversation, and proofreading. My proofreading services can apply to all kinds of written English, whether for business, study or personal.

Having studied various languages over my life, I understand the difficulties of studying a new language. However, I have learned that to be successful, you must not be afraid of mistakes - the more mistakes you make, the more you learn! My teaching ambition is to provide an environment where students feel comfortable and safe to make mistakes so that they learn faster and have fun too!
About me: I love reading books, art and watching movies (I'm always looking for new recommendations for anime). In spring and summer, I love to go outside for walks in the countryside - I loved living in the Gifu mountains during my time in Japan. I love Japanese food and I'm always interested to try new things!
