Hi there! My name is Eric Chong!
I was born and raised in England, my mother is from Hong Kong and my father is from Malaysia. I'm 27 years old, I love teaching English and studying Japanese in my free time by reading books and watching TV shows.

I’ve just come back from teaching in Hiroshima and Tokyo for a year and a half. Japanese food in general is absolutely delicious, but I particularly liked the Fried Oysters (カキフライ) and Momiji Manjuu ( もみじ饅頭 ) in Hiroshima when I was there!

Curriculum

Tutor Eric Chong will discuss a number of topics such as:

  • 1. The British royal guard - Why do they have those big hats?
  • 2. Tea culture - is it true that the Brits drink so much tea?
  • 3. Raining cats and dogs – Where did this idiom come from?
  • And more…
  • 4. There will also be a behind the scenes video, looking at a very famous British food…
  • 5. Review quiz
  • 6. Q and A
