What is Chuken?

Chuken (Chugoku-go Kentei) is a language proficienty test offered by The Society for Testing Chinese Proficiency in Japan.

It is one of the recognized standards to measure Mandarin Chinese ability within Japan. Tests are offered in 53 locations domestically, 4 locations in China as well as other locations across Asia such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
