ウィスコンシン州は今週 -25° C (負の25° C) になった! This week, Wisconsin’s temperature dropped to -25° Celsius!

Of course, winters in Wisconsin are always cold. Because I spend a lot of time outside in the winter, taking care of outdoor animals, I wear a lot of heavy gear. My favorite winter gear is “insulated bib overalls,” heavy canvas overalls made for farmers. Bulky overalls and heavy coats aren’t stylish, but they’re necessary when it’s -25° C. . .

I hope you're all staying warm this January, and I'm looking forward to talking with you soon!

Thank you,

Thanks, Travis! I used to work for a horse farm in Michigan too, so I had the same experience as you in the 90's! Knocking ice out of buckets wasn't fun. Luckily, now I use heated water buckets, so it's much easier than it used to be. I agree with you, the sound of munching horses is really soothing! ;)

Thanks, Sakochan! Well, the "mask" is a simple neck covering that you can pull up over your face when necessary. It's made of fleece, and you can find it at most U.S. stores like Target or Wal-Mart, near the winter hats and gloves. ;)

I feel for you. I used to carry a hammer and pound on rubber buckets for horse water twice a day. That was in Michigan, back in the 90's, lol. At the end of the day, you clean their stalls and bring them in. There is nothing more comforting than hearing the noise of horses eating their grain in the dark though.

You must need them in -25C! I have never used that kind of mask, so it's interesting for me to see you in the mask. Is it a special kind of mask? What do you call it? Thank you for such a nice photo!
