September 2020 Adventures

StephanieRiann

This month, as the tempurature cools it has become easier to travel and enjoy the ourdoors again.

So, far this month we have enjoyed a 2 day trip to Chiba prefecture and a one day trip to Motosuko for overnight camping.

As seen in the main picture of this column we hiked up Nokogiriyama for spectacular veiws, scary cliff sides  and huge stone carved buddhas.

We drove along the flower line for great ocean views, did road side station stops becuase I like collecting the stamps in the Michinoeki book, saw some terraced rice fields and great mountian top view point.

Our next days off we went to Motosuko for over night camping with great weather and beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.

I`ve also been dedicating time to becoming a better Japanese style housewife by learning how to make more Japanese style foods from my mother-in-law, who can`t speak English, so it`s a double lesson in Japanese and cooking.

Recently, I learned to make 1. Nikujaga ( meat and potatoe stew )  2. ebi no harumaki ( Sprimp Spring Rolls ) and 3. Oyakodon ( Egg-chicken bowl ) -- which I had no clean bowls for the picture so its on a plate. :)

Hopefully I will be learning more Japanese cooking and a bit more travelling in the coming weeks and months.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Kindly,

StephanieRiann.

Yes, it was an amazing view point ! Some of the dishes of Japanese food can be difficult to make from the dishes shown above the Spring rolls were probably the most difficult.

It is an amazing view! I want to enjoy the outdoors too. Making Japanese food is difficult? or not so hard? It looks very yummy(^^). I like Oyakodon and always eat it on a plate at our home!
