New Lesson: English Through History

Jacqui L.

Hi Everyone,

Check out my new lesson English Through History!

***25% off coupons will be issued to the first 3 students***

What you will get out of this lesson is a thorough reading, writing, and English comprehension lesson packaged in a world history lesson intended for native English speaking children. The material will also give you a better sense of how and why we say things a certain way in English because language is essentially a product of our history.

The material I use, The Story of The World series by Susan Bauer, is told in a straightforward and engaging style which is by no means like the dry and boring history lessons you took in school. You can choose from the four volumes:

  1. The Story Of The World Vol.1: Ancient Times
  2. The Story of the World Vol.2: The Middle Ages
  3. The Story of the World Vol.3: Early Modern Times
  4. The Story of the World Vol. 4: The Modern Age (1850 to 1994)
"The Story of the World is an award-winning resource for families looking for a history curriculum they can fall in love with. Told in the straightforward, engaging style that has become Susan Wise Bauer’s trademark, this four-volume set covers the sweep of human history from ancient times until the present. Africa, China, Europe, the Americas — find out what happened all around the world in long-ago times. This read-aloud series is designed for parents and teachers to share with elementary school children. Enjoy it together and introduce your child to the marvelous story of the world’s civilizations."
