My most memorable film is The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland. It is an old film from the "Golden Days of Hollywood." I remember my dad taking me to a movie theater where it was showing.
Some of my most favorite memories are of Judy Garland, who played the main character of Dorothy, singing Over the Rainbow. She sings of a land where skies are always blue and dreams come true. As a child, it gave me the inspiration to dream and improve and look for better things and better ways to solve problems.
This film was filmed in Black and White and in Color. The beginning starts in Black and White and then moves to color as Dorothy is transported to the magical land of Oz. The message of the film is you don't have to travel very far to find happiness. It is as close as your own backyard (or balcony). You just have to look for it and look for ways to improve your own circumstances. It's a reason to always have hope!
