Weekly Topic: Personal Reflection on 2020

Dec 30, 2020

Hello Cafetalk Community!

How was your Christmas! We had a three-course meal delivered to our home for Christmas dinner! It included an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert! It was delicious and easy!

I feel very fortunate to have found the Cafetalk platform so I can be an English tutor again this year! I enjoy teaching English very much and I want to thank every student for taking my lesson in 2020! I am truly grateful for the opportunity to meet you and work with you!

[Personal Reflections:]

I've gone through a lot in my life and I'm pretty much unshakeable now, so I took this year with a grain of salt. Thanks to my online teaching career, I really didn't have to go outside much. Here in Canada, it's extremely cold outside, and the ground is always covered in snow. As a result, both the extreme weather and the coronavirus has kept me indoors.

I have my groceries delivered to my home. It's very convenient since I live on the fourth floor. Although I always have to get up at 3:00 am in the morning to get ready for the student's evening time in Asia, which is the only drawback of my job. Otherwise, things are smooth sailing with many repeat students coming back time and again to take my lessons!

As you can see from my photo from my modeling days in Japan, it's my turn to return the favor to the Japanese people. I started modeling in Japan since I was 13-years-old and everyone treated me like a princess. Now, it's my turn to return the favor by helping them improve their English. Everyone has been so kind to me again this time as well!

Due to life's trials and tribulations, I have become used to making the most of whatever comes my way!

Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year and a great year ahead in 2021! Thank you very much for taking my lessons! (Although I don't look like my picture above anymore, I thought it might be fun to share old memories . . . especially about Japan!)

If you have any questions about my lessons, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to hearing from you! Happy Year of the Ox!

[For your information:]

What's the difference between an "ox" and a "bull"?

The main difference between Bull and Ox is that the Bull is a male individual of cattle and Ox is a common bovine draft animal. ... Oxen are commonly castrated adult male cattle; castration makes the animals easier to control.
