What's happening in Scotland?

周间主题: Let me tell you what is happening in my country right now !

2021年4月17日

After many months of lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Scotland has finally experienced some positive changes this week!

Firstly, although it is still cold, summertime has officially arrived and we are welcoming the return of long hours of sunshine and the blooming of many kinds of flowers.

And as of today, many restrictions on daily activities have been lifted and we can start to contemplate a return to normal life.  For example, for the first time this year people have been able to go to a barber's to get a haircut.  Furthermore, people are free to travel across the entire country to visit friends and family.

These positive developments have of course been made possible by the speed of the vaccination compaign.  Every member of the population over age 50 has now been offered a first dose of a vaccine to protect against infection from Coronavirus.

And finally, many university students are taking their final exams, and are looking forward to a summer during which they can enjoy much more freedom than summer last year.  Here's hoping so!
