Hello, everyone.  How  are  you today?
It's Teacher Asuka.

Today , we're talking about
'Should everyone in the world speak the same language?  ‘

I don’t think that everyone in the world should speak the same language, because the world has full of diversity.

Currently, the world population is estimated 7.9 billion people. Such people live their own lives in their own countries. Various cultures have been produced unique for many years by such native people. There are different kinds of cultures in the world as you know. Culture includes not only a language, but also religious, the way of life, the way of thinking, habits and so on.

Therefore, people in the world should need to respect and be kind to each other. They should need to share and understand the differences and diversity between themselves.

From that point of view, we need to learn other language to communicate well each other. Learning a language leads to learning its culture at the same time.

For example, how many colors of rainbow do you have in your country? It is said that there are seven colors in Japan, six colors in the US, five colors in Germany, and four colors in Russia. Even if you look at the same rainbow, the way of thinking is completely different by country.

Because of that reason, I think that we should learn and master a second language and try to communicate with other people by the second language, broadening our mindset open much more, and making an action, to understand different people and culture in the world.

Thank you for staying with me.
Hope to see you soon.

Bye for now

Teacher Asuka
