“Awake, dear heart, awake."

Pilar Barrera

“Awake, dear heart, awake. Thou hast slept well. Awake.”

A father tells his daughter this. It’s a gentle speech full of tenderness and love. This speech is from Shakespeare’s The Tempest, a play about a powerful wizard.

The Tempest is Shakespeare’s most fantastic play! It features a comic monster and a fairy, but there are also murder plots, illusions, desperation and more! All this happens on a supernatural and strange island.

Why not exploring this play with me in my lessons No Sweat Shakespeare? Using lots of images, we will discuss the characters, the setting, and the plot in a SUPER easy way! You don’t need to have an advanced level of English. This lesson is for upper beginners, intermediate or advanced students. I’ll adapt it to your needs.
