Settlers of Catan (often referred to as simply "Catan") is an extremely popular board game all over the world. Originally published in 1995, it has sold over 32 million copies and has been translated into over 40 different languages. Some basic details about the game:

--Catan is a resource gathering game where the goal is to earn points. Players get points by building settlements and collecting special cards.
--There are many different strategies that can be used to win the game!
--The board layout is random and changes every game!
--Catan emphasizes many useful skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and so on.
--The basic game can be played online for free, on almost any computer, and without any special software 
--A basic 3-4 player game of Catan takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.

I often used to play Catan at board game cafes, but that changed since the pandemic began. However, I now play online and was wondering if anyone on Cafetalk would be interested in a Cafetalk lesson to learn about (and play) Catan. Beginner, intermediate, and experienced players are all welcome!
