Teachers' Day, a holiday often lost in the bunch, is a campaign each year to help give the world a better understanding of teachers and the role they play in the development of students and society. In some countries, it is also observed on the birth date of past figures. According to UNESCO, World Teachers' Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate the work of teachers.
