What's Your ETA?　ってどんな意味？

ETAは何の略かというと、Estimated Time of Arrival です。

estimated 「見積もられる、推測される」

Time of Arrivalは「到着時間」

"Estimated Time of Arrival"　＝「予定到着時刻」となります。

カジュアルな表現ですが、ビジネスでも使える表現です。

相手に到着時間を聞く際にはもちろん、

What time will you arrive?

When will you be here? 　などなど色んな聞き方がありますが、

What’s your ETA?

さらっと言えるとこなれた感じがありますよね。（＾＾）

会話例はこんな感じ。

A: I just got off work. 　今仕事終わったよ。

B: Cool. What’s your ETA?　了解。いつ到着する？

A: Around 7 ish?　7時くらいかな？

つい最近、私も韓国でアメリカの友達と待ち合わせをしていたのですが夕方渋滞にはまってしまったとき友達に
What's your ETA? と聞かれ、
My ETA is 6:35. と答えました。（５分遅刻！）
